Singapore, 12 January 2016 – Invengo Technology has acquired a substantial stake in handheld device specialist ATID, resulting in an enhanced solution offering in the global RFID market.
Invengo recently announced its InPower Channel program, offering a wide range of fixed readers, handheld devices, and antennas to complement its existing portfolio of RFID tags and inlays. The addition of the ATID product range of handheld devices greatly enhances the Invengo portfolio, creating a simpler supply option for Value-Added Resellers and System Integrators. The support provided by the Invengo InPower distributors and partner community now makes the implementation of RAIN RFID solutions much more efficient.
Scott Medford, Chief Sales Officer of Invengo, comments ''This move creates the broadest, most functional offering in the RFID industry, the only company offering every component necessary for solution partners to solve their customers' system needs. A solution now no longer requires juggling products from various vendors, or involving multiple technical resources to properly manage a solution – the entire product suite is now available from a single source. As we move into 2016, the Invengo channel will begin to stock the primary ATID products, ensuring support and availability in multiple regions. In addition, the ATID channel will continue to function, so existing ATID partners may continue to acquire their products as usual. ATID partners will also be offered the opportunity to enhance their product portfolio by joining the InPower Channel program if other Invengo products are desired.''
Mr. Kim, CEO of ATID, adds ''ATID has a long history of strong research and development, which has resulted in our leading role in handheld devices. Together with the Invengo sales, marketing and channel support, we now expect our products to continue to advance into many new applications. Under this new arrangement, ATID will continue to develop and support both existing partners and ODM customers, so the market will get the best of both worlds.''
